Like Grapefruit

Will fade, will fade
This skin will age
And hair will gray
Will fall, will fall..
Eyes will dim and carry weight
Of the years you’ve experienced
Of the days you cannot live again
This flesh will fail us
Will change in shape
But will our souls do the same
Careful now and seek
Are you beautiful inside
That will linger on
Long after we have died
Can we see it through your eyes
In your speech and as you walk
Are you beautiful inside
Are you.
